There’s never a good time to cheat on your hairdresser, but the opportunity to have one of Australia’s top hairstylists cut, style, colour or even just blow dry your hair is one you should jump at!

Glenn O’Reilly and his wife Karen run The Grooming Salon at the Gibraltar Hotel and their loyal Sydney clients often make the trek South to get their hair done.

Glenn knows hair. After an apprenticeship at Melbourne's Zimmer, Glenn helped open Kabu Haircutters in Toorak, he later moved to Sydney and set up Helmet with the legendary hair and make-up artist Stephen Price. Then came Helmet Hair and Make-Up Academy and freelance hair and make-up for editorial clients including Vogue, Harpers Bazaar, Marie Claire and Madison.

In 2002 he relocated to Paris and the ensuing 12 months saw him working for the Paris and Milan runways on mega labels Chanel, Emelio Pucci and Antonio Beradi. Upon returning to Australia, Glenn joined the highly regarded Names Agency and in between celebrity engagements continued freelancing at Salon Ruggeri Sydney.

In 2006 Glenn and his wife Karen felt it was time to open their own salon again, with Hare House and Beauty in the Southern Highlands and most recently they have opened The Grooming Lounge onsite at the Gibraltar Hotel. Plus they’re also managing The Bowral Day Spa.
